Vũ Phạm Diễm My, born on January 27, 1990, is widely recognized by her stage name Diễm My or Diễm My 9x. She is a Vietnamese actress, model, and television host who began her acting career at the age of five in 1995. Diễm My has participated in the Miss Vietnam World pageant and has appeared in numerous films, including “Làn môi trong mưa,” “Váy hồng tầng 24,” “Mỹ nhân kế,” “Gái già lắm chiêu” (2016), “Chạy đi rồi tính” (2017), “Cô Ba Sài Gòn” (2017), “Ống kính sát nhân” (2018), and “Tình yêu và tham vọng” (2020).
She made her acting debut at just five years old in “Bóng đêm cuộc tình.” In 2008, she competed in the “Người đẹp hoa anh đào” contest, where she secured second place. Although she participated in the “Hoa hậu Thế giới người Việt” in 2010, she did not reach the Top 15. The year 2011 marked a significant shift in her fashion sense, as she began to adopt a more distinctive and creative style, earning accolades from fashion designers.
By early 2013, Diễm My underwent a complete image makeover, choosing more feminine and elegant attire. During this period, she achieved considerable success with films such as “Mỹ nhân kế,” “Váy hồng tầng 24,” “Kungfu Phở,” and “Gái già lắm chiêu.” Notably, “Gái già lắm chiêu” (2016) became one of the highest-grossing films in Vietnam that year, representing a significant milestone in her career.
